-
Promoting Wholeness & Repair – providing tools for families to heal from past trauma, develop healthier relationships, and build resilience.
-
Crushing Chaos & Rebuilding Stability – creating new patterns with skills that promote safety, emotional regulation, and open communication
-
Faith-Based Integration – incorporating a focus on hope, restoration.

Restore secure attachment to God, self, and others.
-
Families learn that they are an important part of the world and the universe, that life is filled with beauty, goodness, and meaning, and that a connection to something greater can bring purpose and healing.
-
Every session includes reflection on spirituality and the Serenity Prayer, reinforcing hope, peace, and personal growth in the healing journey.
-
Participants are encouraged to explore their own spiritual beliefs and values in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

Positive Outcomes:
-
Reduced Risk of Substance Use – Families participating in CF! report increased protective factors that help prevent substance use in children and teens.
-
Stronger Parent-Child Attachment – The program teaches parents how to be present, regulate emotions, and respond with empathy—key elements in healing childhood attachment wounds.
-
Improved Communication & Conflict Resolution – Families learn how to break generational patterns of unhealthy conflict and create nurturing environments.
-
Increased Resilience & Emotional Regulation – Children and adults develop tools to manage stress and trauma in healthy ways, reducing the risk of mental health issues and substance use disorders.
-
Faith Communities as Healing Spaces – By training faith leaders and community members in CF! churches and ministries can become hubs of healing, offering practical tools alongside spiritual support.

About NACoA
The National Association for Children Impacted by Addiction (NACoA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for and supporting children and families impacted by parental substance use. Since its founding in 1983, NACoA has worked to break the cycle of intergenerational addiction by providing education, resources, and training for professionals, faith communities, and caregivers.

Our mission is to ensure that no child is left to navigate the challenges of parental substance use disorder alone. Through programs like Celebrating Families, NACoA equips communities with evidence-based tools to foster resilience, promote healing, and build healthy, thriving families.
